The Most Electricious Ways to Detoxify.

Custom Cleanse collection

Let the cleanse begin.

Congrats! Deciding to begin a juice cleanse is the first step in ridding your body of the toxins that have built up over time. By flooding your body with detoxifying nutrients, enzymes and minerals in liquid form, your body is freed from having to digest solid food, making it easier to release the toxins in your system.

We like to think of cleansing as the gateway to a healthier lifestyle, including reduced weight, increased mental clarity and an improved immune system to help your body continue fighting after your cleanse is complete.

BEFORE YOUR CLEANSE

  • Time it Right
Cleansing can be a challenge, both mentally and physically, so it’s best to start your cleanse at a time that’s relatively calm and drama free. Pick a low-stress, relaxing time in your life when you’re able to rest and reflect on yourself. Be sure your friends and family know you’re cleansing so they offer their full support and as few temptations as possible.
  • Eat Well
We call this the “cleanse before the cleanse.” Start preparing your body a few days before beginning your cleanse by eating a healthy, light diet. Ease into your cleanse by eating healthier foods such as organic fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and eggs. It’s also important to drink plenty of water; at least eight glasses per day, and be sure to avoid alcohol, caffeine, sugar, processed foods, dairy, red meat and wheat.

DURING YOUR CLEANSE

  • Nutrition and Exercise
Fresh organic, fresh fruits and vegetables will provide you with fiber and help you feel full. Soaked nuts and seeds are also good to eat, as well as drinking plenty of water with lemon, lime or cucumbers for added flavor. Stay hydrated, especially if you plan on exercising at all. Listen to your body. If your energy levels are up, try walking or yoga. If your energy is low, by all means, rest.
  • Feed Your Mind
Cleansing allows you to reflect, enjoying activities that require little effort. Simple activities such as meditation, journal writing, reading and light yoga can help supplement enough mental stimulation to bring added clarity to your cleanse. Avoid stressful situations and even people who add complication to your life and absorb quiet, introspective activities.

AFTER YOUR CLEANSE

  • Returning to Food
Once your cleanse is complete, resist your natural tendency to want to return to your previous eating habits. We recommend you taper back onto solid foods by following a diet similar to the pre-cleanse diet. Start with soups and smoothies on the first day, then begin adding foods that you ate when you started preparing, such as organic fruits and green vegetables. And most of all, avoid the same pitfalls that you dodged during the pre-cleanse period, including alcohol, caffeine, sugar, processed foods, dairy, red meat and gluten.
  • Juice More Often
To keep the benefits of your cleanse going, be sure to incorporate 100% natural, organic, raw juices into your daily life. There’s nothing better for your mind, body and soul that pure, cold-pressed juice packed with essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

FAQs

  • Can I benefit from just a one-day cleanse?

    • Absolutely. A one-day cleanse is a great way to introduce yourself to cleansing gradually. Cleansing one day per week is even better for you, helping you build up your immune system which is key to detoxification.

  • Can I exercise when I'm cleansing?

    • Exercising is a great way to maximize your cleanse. Take advantage of surges in energy levels, and remember to stay hydrated. Of course, you should listen to your body and not over-exert yourself, especially if your energy levels are low.

  • How many days should I cleanse?

    • If this is your first cleanse, it's best to ease into it with a 3-day cleanse. Equally as important is the preparation you put in before beginning the cleanse as well as the commitment you make to incorporating juice into your diet post-cleanse.

  • Is it safe to cleanse while taking antibiotics or medications?

    • We recommend you consult your physician or healthcare provider and talk to them about cleansing based on your individual situation, especially if you're on blood sugar or diabetes medication.

  • Can I cleanse if I am pregnant or nursing?

    • If you're pregnant or nursing, first consult your physician. Typically, we do not recommend cleansing in either situation due to the risk of dehydration and the release of toxins that could pass through your placenta.
